13 Habit-Changing Tools You Need THIS Spring

Seasons are changing, and so should those habits that serve you no purpose!

Research suggests that 43% of everyday actions are enacted habitually while people think about something else. Although we’re told multitasking is impossible, here we stand talking on the phone, watching TV, and doing dishes all at the same time. Let’s not give ourselves praise yet though. As the TV is blasted, you’re talking to your friend on the phone while doing dishes, annnnd… huh, “I don’t remember pouring anything red down the drain”. Chaos comes crashing in, your adrenalin spikes, and you can no longer deal with all of the noise because you’re not sure if the cut on your hand needs stitches or if you’ll be just fine.

It’s usually not until something chaotic happens that grabs our attention enough to say, “I probably shouldn’t do that anymore”.

Habits truly come in a variety of ways and some we just might not be aware of.

Today, take the time to look at everything you do habitually on a daily basis. Is it productive, healthy, and worth the time to continue on with the habit? Most of us by nature want to grow as we get older, and with that being said, I bet there has already been one habit that has popped up in your mind that you don’t like or wish you had.

I’d like to say it’s done easier than said, but who are we kidding, we are habitual beings. It does take effort to want to change and it does require having a ‘why’, but the reward, in the long run, is well worth the discomfort for a short while.

Below, is a guide for all who seek change differently. From journals, workbooks, book recommendations, and habit-tracking calendars, there is something to give you that little extra push to ditch those old habits, so that you can create space for new ones.
